imisspdf started with a simple frustration: the dominant PDF software was bloated, expensive, and treated basic tasks like premium features. We thought the 90% of jobs people actually do — merge, split, compress, convert, sign — should be free, instant, and respect your privacy.
So we built that. 38 tools, an API, desktop and mobile apps, and an AI layer on top. Files are deleted within an hour and never train a model. That's the whole pitch.

A two-person team, one too many $20-a-month invoices for merging two PDFs. We sketched a free alternative.
Public beta
12 tools, no signup, no ads. It hit the front page of a few places and the servers briefly hated us.

Launched the REST API, native desktop apps, and the first AI tools — Chat, Summarize, Translate.
